What matters most at first is not how much we do, but how regularly we return to the music.

Learning music is a gradual process. The body, the ear and the voice or position of playing a instrument need time to absorb what we are working on, and this happens most naturally when there is regularity in our practice and in our lessons.

For this reason, I encourage students, when approaching music or a new kind of music, to begin with a certain continuity, especially at the beginning. A regular weekly or biweekly lesson creates a thread that allows the work to deepen naturally from one class to the next.

It is not about practising perfectly or doing a great amount of work every day. It is about creating a steady relationship with the music and giving yourself enough time to establish a fertile ground in which the seeds of creativity and creation can sprout.

This is why online lessons are a wonderful opportunity to study with frequency and consistency, wherever you are.
